Nestled in the picturesque hills of San Benito County, CA is a small city called San Juan Bautista with a population of less than 2,000. An historical city housing one of the oldest missions, San Juan Bautista built in 1797. Located in the heart of historical downtown 3rd street with their Annual festivals, parades and events is a 100+ year old building on the corner of 3rd and Washington streets called 'Plaza Market' 203 3rd Street. This is the new home of Time Zone Vintage, still alive and kicking since our start in Berkeley, CA back in 1997. We're one of the longest running vintage stores in the Bay area selling amazing vintage clothing, accessories and jewelry for both men and women.

Visiting this gem of a city is like going back in time! Dotted along 3rd street are many original buildings dating back to the early 1800-1900's. Throughout the year there's their Annual Easter Parade, Open Studio Art Tour, Indian Pow Wow, many Antique Car Shows, Annual BBQ Rib Cook-off/Arts & Crafts Festival, and one of the largest Annual Antique & Collectibles Fair where 3rd street is closed down, lined with many antique and food vendors on either side of the streets.

Their famous Vertigo Day, a tour of the mission San Juan Bautista. The tour is based on the 1958 American film noir psychological thriller film 'Vertigo' directed and produced by Alfred Hitchcock. Touring the famous scene staring James Stewart and Kim Novak in the tower of the old mission.

They end the year with their Annual Christmas 'Holiday of Lights Celebration & Parade'. A favorite for locals and tourists who line the sidewalks to witness and cheer on the old fashioned parade, featuring decorated floats and vintage cars decked out in lights and holly strolling down historical 3rd street. All the shops are open until 10pm with lots of food, fun and cheer!

A BRIEF HISTORY

Time Zone Vintage started in Berkeley in 1997 on San Pablo Avenue, then relocated to Telegraph Avenue where it flourished. Selling men and women's vintage clothing (1930's thru 1980's), accessories, jewelry, Danish Modern and Mid-century furniture and collectibles. In 2005 the owner moved to the South Bay and continued to commute to Berkeley. Later the store was relocated to Park Avenue in San Jose, in 2008. Outgrowing the Park Avenue location, the store moved to a larger facility on San Carlos Avenue. In 2012 Time Zone Vintage closed its physical location on San Carlos Avenue to open bi-monthly Pop-up shops and focused on producing fashion shows and events.

In 2013 they created  'Catwalk Down The Boulevard' an Annual non-profit fashion show, inviting local designers to showcase their Designs on the runway and vendors selling jewelry and accessories to participate in their wildly popular 'Fashion Market Soiree' an indoor flea market. All proceeds from the show go to help foster children and teens in the foster care system.

In 2016, Time Zone Vintage re-opened at 203 3rd Street St., ste G, inside a charming 100+ year old building, in beautiful San Juan Bautista! One block down from the Old Mission San Juan Bautista built in 1797 and right in the heart of historical downtown 3rd street.

Time Zone Vintage is smaller, more selective, but still sells awesome men and women's vintage clothing, accessories, jewelry, antique and kitch collectibles.
